You fly the drone. We report the findings.

Wind Turbine Inspections

Blade surface condition reported turbine by turbine — leading-edge erosion, cracks, delamination and lightning strike damage, each located by blade, side and distance from root, with nacelle and tower condition from the same flight.

THERMAL + RGB

What we check for

  • Leading-edge erosion, graded and located along the span
  • Cracks, delamination and bond-line separation
  • Lightning strike damage and receptor condition
  • Surface contamination, coating loss and soiling
  • Every finding located by blade (A/B/C), side (leading/trailing, pressure/suction) and distance from root
  • Nacelle, hub and tower condition from the same capture
  • Thermal anomalies where a radiometric pass has been flown

An example of what you get back

Every finding in every report follows the same structure — location, frame reference, affected area, confidence, probable cause and recommended action, rated Red / Amber / Green. Here's a worked (illustrative) example from this survey type.

Finding 2: Blade B — Leading-Edge Erosion

LocationTurbine 04, blade B, leading edge, 12–18 m from root
Frame reference0114_V – 0121_V
Estimated affected areaApprox. 6 m of span
ConfidenceHigh
Severity rating (RAG)AMBER

Observation: Coating loss and substrate exposure along a continuous section of the leading edge, with the affected band widening toward the tip. The adjacent blades show early-stage wear only.

Probable cause: Consistent with rain and particulate erosion at the high-velocity section of the span — the expected wear pattern for this position and turbine age.

Recommended action: Recommend leading-edge protection repair at the next scheduled maintenance window. Erosion at this grade increases drag and reduces annual energy production if left.

How the RAG rating works

Every finding on every survey type is rated against the same published definitions, so a Red on one job means the same thing as a Red on the next.

● RedA live risk of water ingress, structural risk, or a safety hazard — flagged for prompt action.
● AmberLikely to progress to failure if left unaddressed, but not currently causing a problem.
● GreenCosmetic or early-stage — worth recording, not urgent.
